Asics has announced the release of its GT-1000 15 running shoe, offering a budget-friendly alternative to its more expensive GT-1000 14 predecessor. Designed for both casual and competitive runners, the new model combines advanced technology with affordability. With its nearly one-piece construction, the GT-1000 15 features a flexible mesh upper that cradles the foot while providing breathability, making it ideal for long-distance running. The use of PureGel cushioning adds to the comfort, while AHAR Plus rubber enhances durability. The shoe also includes an OrthoLite-branded sockliner for added cushioning, though it retains the brand’s signature High Abrasion Rubber (AHAR) outsole material. The GT-1000 15 weighs slightly heavier than the predecessor, weighing 278 grams compared to the lighter 230 grams of its predecessor. Available now for preorder starting June 1, the GT-1000 15 offers six colorways: Black/Black, Black/White, Black/Illuminate Yellow, Piedmont Gray/Neon Blue, White/Stadium Orange, and Prussian Blue/White. This model represents a significant step forward for Asics, balancing innovation with cost-effectiveness.
